Town of Sterling Planning Board Notice of Public Hearing for:

Make a Consent Determination under MGL Chapter 40A, Section 16 (repetitive petition): The Planning Board will hold a meeting on Thursday February 23, 2023 at 6:30 PM in Room 205 of the Butterick Building, regarding Katrina Jablonsky’s application for a Special Permit for a commercial kennel per Section 301 -2.3.1.C.10 and 6.3 of the Town’s Protective Bylaws to be exercised at 15 School Street in Sterling (Assessors Map 105, Lot 21). The Planning Board will consider and vote on whether to recommend that the Zoning Board of Appeals hear this application anew. The Zoning Board of Appeals previously voted to deny said Special Permit in a decision filed with the Town Clerk on November 7, 2022.

Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed Zoning Amendments Pursuant to MGL, Chapter 40A, Section 5. Notice is hereby given that the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 6:30 PM in Room 205, Butterick Municipal Building, 1 Park Street, on two amendments to the Town of Sterling Protective Bylaw:

--      Minor revisions to accessory dwelling bylaw – adding some clarifications and standards for detached accessory dwellings, other minor changes.

--     Deleting the Zoning Bylaw’s temporary moratorium on adult-use marijuana establishments (Section 301-4.9A).

Full text of the proposed zoning amendments can be reviewed at the Town Clerk’s office and the Planning Department office during regular Town Hall office hours.
