Opportunities to Participate in Your Local Government

Your town needs your help.  If you have what it takes to serve the Town of Sterling, please consider volunteering.

Effective Attributes of Board, Committee and Commission Members include;

  • Fair, objective, and open-minded
  • Strong call to civic-duty – willingness to give back to the community
  • Personal integrity – no personal agenda or prejudice
  • Ability and time to attend meetings, visit sites, review meeting materials
  • The fortitude to make difficult decisions within the parameters of the law
  • Must treat everyone respectfully and with dignity, at all times

If you are interested in serving in one of the open positions, please complete the Citizen Volunteer Form and return it to the Office of the Select Board.
