Town of Sterling Planning Board - Notice of Public Hearing for:

Citizen Petitions - Proposed Zoning Amendments Pursuant to MGL, Chapter 40A, Section 5

Notice is hereby given that the Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 6:30 PM in Room 205, Butterick Municipal Building, 1 Park Street, on two amendments to the Town of Sterling Protective Bylaw proposed by citizen petitions:

Citizen Petition #1: Amend the Protective Bylaws, Article 2, Section 2.3.1, Item #15 (Commercial Uses) in the Table of Uses to allow “retail sales including antique shops” by Special Permit in the Rural Residential (RR) district.

Citizen Petition #2: Amend the Protective Bylaws, Article 2, Section 2.3.1, Item #5 (Industrial Uses) in The Table of Uses to not allow “open lot storage of building materials, contractor’s equipment and similar materials” in the Rural Commercial (C) district.

Full text of the proposed zoning amendments can be reviewed at the Town Clerk’s office and the Planning Department office during regular Town Hall office hours.
