What if I don’t agree with my assessment?

If you disagree with your assessment, you have two avenues for redress.

We encourage property owners to make an appointment to speak with our contract Assessor.  He can suggest a course of action which might include an inspection to verify that your assessment is based on factual property information.

Second, you may choose to file an abatement application seeking official review of your assessed valuation.  Official abatement forms may be filed with the Assessors’ office during the month of January, but not later than February 1st (due date of the 3rd quarter tax bill).
