Housing Initiatives Committee

The Affordable Housing Committee was appointed by the Select Board to concentrate on the efforts to update the Housing Production Plan for the Town of Sterling. The focus of the Housing Production Plan was to identify goals and strategies to meet the Chapter 40B Comprehensive Permit requirements for affordable housing production in Massachusetts. The committee  accomplished this task with the help of the Montachusett Regional Planning Commission. (made possible with funding made available through the District Local Technical Assistance Grant.) Their Close out report was issued in April 2021 and the Committee was disbanded.
