If we don't have it, we can get it! Books and movies on DVD are delivered to us daily from over 160 other libraries. We even find books in Montana or Australia, if that's what you need.
The Conant Free Public Library provides broad access to library materials, resources and services for enrichment and enjoyment in an environment that is welcoming to all. The library offers space and opportunity to gather and connect, knowledgeable friendly staff to assist, and the tools to grow and thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Available free to the public are: best-selling books, books on CD, DVD's, magazines and newspapers.
Also available are high-speed cable and wireless internet access, wireless printing and fax service.
We are part of a large network of libraries and can usually find what you are looking for and have it delivered to the library.
Through the generosity of the Friends of the Library and other community groups, we have a variety of passes that provide discounted admission to museums and other attractions.
There are 4 story-hours a week serving children from birth to 5 years of age. The library runs a summer reading program and provides programming during school vacations.
From the library web site, people can set up an account with a library card and browse the on-line catalog, order or renew materials, and search more than $200,000 worth of databases for accurate information in reference books, newspapers and magazine articles.
People can also read e-books, and download audio books and movies.
