State Primary Election - Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Information

The State Primary Election will take place Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  (This is the day after Labor Day.)

The deadline to register to vote, or to change your party enrollment for the State Primary is Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  The Town Clerk’s Office will be open until 8:00pm that evening for voter registration.  You may also register online, or check your registration, through the Secretary of the Commonwealth's Online Voter Registration System.

Absentee Ballots for the State Primary are available now.  You may request an absentee ballot if you are a registered voter who will be unable to make it to the polls on Election Day due to:

  • Absence from town during normal polling hours; or
  • Physical disability preventing you from going to the polling place; or
  • Religious belief

You may request to have a ballot mailed to you, or you may vote in person at the Town Clerk’s counter during regular business hours.  The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2018.
