How To Pay Your Bill

Online Payments

The Collector’s Office accepts payment for real estate, personal property and motor vehicle excise taxes, water bills, and parking tickets.

There are several ways in which payment may be made.  If your bill is not past due, you have the following options:

  • U. S. Mail
  • In person at the Butterick Building
  • Drop box in front of the Butterick Building
  • Our online payment system (with the exception of parking tickets.)
  • Through your bank's electronic payment system

Do not mail cash or leave it in the drop box outside of the Butterick Building.

Real Estate and Personal Property Bills

Please return the top portion of the bill with your payment.  If you would like a receipt, please return the top and bottom portions of your bill, and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.

You should retain the middle portion of your bill as it contains important information.

If you use an automated bill paying system, please include the type of payment, fiscal year and the bill number with your payment so that we may apply it properly.   Please note that bill numbers may change; check each new bill and change the payment information accordingly.

Motor Vehicle Excise Bills

Please return the bottom portion of the bill with your payment.  You should retain the remainder of the bill as it contains important information.

If you use an automated bill paying system, please include the type of payment, fiscal year and the bill number with your payment so that we may apply it properly.   Please note that bill numbers may change; check each new bill and change the payment information accordingly.

Past Due Bills

Past due bills may not be paid online.  Before paying a past due bill, please contact the Treasurer/Collector's Office for the precise amount due as interest and possibly fees will have accrued.
