Conservation Commission Public Hearing - Redemption Rock Trail and Merrill Road

Pursuant to MGL ch 131 s 40 as amended there will be a public meeting on a request for a determination by Mass DCR for work on Redemption rock Trail and Merrill road :

Work will include demolition and removal of the former boiler/steam plant and 2 birthing sheds and will be done by a private contractor, on behalf of the Commonwealth of MA-DCR, Division of Water Supply Protection.  The concrete block building will be removed by heavy equipment from the front.  The concrete slab will be left in place with no ground distrubance or alteration taking place.  Proper erosion controls will  be placed behind the building approximately 4 feet off of the wetland boundary and will be monitored until project completion, which is anticipated to be less than one week.

 The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday August 4, 2015, at 7:45 PM in the Butterick Building, 1 Park Street, Sterling Town Hall Room 207. The Public is invited to attend.
