This Resiliency and peak shaving project, manufactured by NEC Energy Systems out of Westborough Massachusetts ,was the first project completed in Massachusetts/New England. Through collaboration between multiple agencies, this project was up and operating in only 33 working days. Ma DOER, under the direction of Commissioner Judith Judson, provided grant assistance. Additional grant assistance was provided to the DOE Energy Storage program, under the direction of Dr Imre Gyuk, who was instrumental in providing grant assistance and technical support in  working with Sandia National Labs and the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA). A grant from the Barr Foundation, was instrumental in coordinating the different parties in the project and also providing educational opportunities through multiple webinars.
