The Town website is the official 24/7 “alternative posting method”
approved by the Attorney General
The Attorney General has determined that if a meeting notice posted in the Butterick Municipal Building is not visible to the public at all hours, the Town of Sterling must follow one of the “alternative posting methods,” in accordance with MGL ch 30A, sections 18-25. The Board of Selectmen voted on June 4, 2013 to approve the Sterling website as the 24/7 “alternative approved posting” for all meetings and agendas. The meeting notices are still available for viewing during normal business hours on the Town Clerk's bulletin board and the handicap bulletin board next to the Town Clerk’s counter in the Butterick building.
