The Sterling Town Clerk has posted the unofficial results of the Special Primary State Election held on December 8, 2009 on the town's web site. Of the 5,675 registered voters in the Town of Sterling, 1,188 voters cast ballots in this election. This represents a 21% turnout of Sterling registered voters.
