On August 19th, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced that a horse in nearby Lancaster died from Eastern Equine Encephalitis, or Triple-E.  This was the 2nd horse in Worcester County to succumb.  Eastern Equine Encephalitis is spread by mosquitos and humans are at risk for this disease.  The Sterling Board of Health has posted a fact sheet on Eastern Equine Encephalitis, with information on the disease and how to protect yourself and your family.  Please review this important document.
